What is Acastus Photon?
Acastus Photon is a private, free, and open-source alternative to proprietary geocoding services like Google Maps. It allows users to search for addresses and points of interest using the Photon API, which can be self-hosted on your own server. This provides a more private and customizable solution for navigation needs. The search results can then be opened and navigated to using popular third-party navigation apps such as OsmAnd or MAPS.ME. Acastus Photon is a fork of the previous Acastus project, which utilized the Pelias API instead of Photon
