What is Aeskulap?
Aeskulap is a powerful medical image viewer that enables users to review and analyze a series of specialized DICOM-formatted images. The application offers the unique capability to query and fetch DICOM images directly from network-based archive nodes, commonly referred to as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). Aeskulap is an open-source solution designed to serve as a comprehensive replacement for commercially available DICOM viewers, catering to the needs of healthcare professionals. Developed using the gtkmm, glademm, and gconfmm frameworks, Aeskulap is primarily designed to run on the Linux operating system, though its cross-platform nature allows for potential porting to other platforms where these frameworks are available
