What is Amazon Route 53?
Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable cloud-based Domain Name System (DNS) web service that enables developers and businesses to efficiently connect user requests to internet applications. The service translates human-readable domain names, such as www.example.com, into the numeric IP addresses, like 192.0.2.1, that computers use to communicate with each other. Amazon Route 53 provides a reliable and cost-effective way to route end-users to infrastructure running on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances, Amazon Elastic Load Balancers, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) buckets. The service can also be used to direct traffic to resources outside of the AWS environment
