What is Audiveris?

Audiveris is an open-source Optical Music Recognition software that processes images of music sheets to automatically generate symbolic music data in the MusicXML standard. This enables the use of the extracted music information across a wide range of tools and applications, such as score editors, MIDI sequencers, and publishing platforms, which can leverage the symbolic data to perform various operations, including editing, playback, printing, re-publishing, transposition, and querying
