What is Azure IoT Edge?
Azure IoT Edge enables cloud-based analytics and AI models to be deployed and run locally on Internet of Things (IoT) devices, thereby reducing latency, improving reliability, and minimizing the amount of data that needs to be sent to the cloud. Developers can build and deploy containers to IoT devices, allowing them to run critical workloads off-cloud and respond quickly to local changes in situations where cloud connectivity may be intermittent or unavailable. This service allows organizations to extend the full capabilities of Azure, including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Stream Analytics, to edge devices
