What is Balabolka?

Balabolka is a versatile text-to-speech utility that can read from a variety of document formats and export the resulting audio to numerous audio file types. The program leverages the computer's installed text-to-speech engines, allowing users to access a wide range of voices. Balabolka can read text from the clipboard, as well as support for DOC, EPUB, FB2, HTML, ODT, PDF, and RTF file formats. The application provides options to customize the font, background color, and speech parameters such as rate and pitch. A unique feature is the ability to apply a substitution list to improve the quality of the voice's articulation, using regular expressions to correct pronunciation. Balabolka can also generate synchronized lyrics (LRC) files or embed the text directly into the audio file's metadata, enabling synchronized text display during playback on compatible media players and devices
