What is Blade of Darkness?
Blade of Darkness is a 2001 3D third-person PC action game that emphasizes close-quarter, hand-to-hand combat. Developed by the Spanish studio Rebel Act Studios and published by Codemasters, the game was later released in the US and Europe under the title "Blade of Darkness" after the original Spanish subtitle "Blade: The Edge of Darkness" was deemed too similar to an existing television show in the United States. Despite the title change, the game did not feature a sword by that exact name. Following the closure of Rebel Act Studios, several former employees went on to found notable game development studios such as Digital Legends and MercurySteam Entertainment
