What is Browserosaurus?

The browser prompter for macOS allows users to conveniently select their preferred browser when opening links from non-browser applications. Browserosaurus, an open-source tool licensed under the MIT license, seamlessly integrates with the macOS operating system by setting itself as the default browser. When a user clicks on a link outside of a web browser, Browserosaurus is triggered, presenting a menu of the user's installed browsers, enabling them to choose the desired application to handle the link. This functionality provides users with a streamlined workflow, eliminating the need to manually switch between browsers or update default settings
