What is Calibre Web?

Calibre Web is a web application that provides a clean and intuitive interface for browsing, reading, and downloading eBooks using an existing Calibre database. It offers a comprehensive set of features to enhance the eBook management experience. Users can filter and search for titles, authors, tags, series, and languages, as well as create custom book collections (shelves). The application supports editing eBook metadata and converting eBooks from EPUB to Kindle format (MOBI/AZW). Calibre Web also allows for restricting eBook downloads to logged-in users and provides support for public user registration. With a click of a button, users can send eBooks directly to their Kindle devices. The application supports reading eBooks in the browser, including common file formats such as TXT, EPUB, and PDF. Additionally, users can upload new books in PDF, EPUB, and FB2 formats. Calibre Web also offers support for Calibre's custom columns and fine-grained, per-user permissions. The application is designed with a modern, Bootstrap 3-based HTML5 interface and provides user interface options in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Polish, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. Calibre Web also features a self-update capability, ensuring users have access to the latest features and improvements
