Jericho's core gameplay revolves around leading a seven-member team through various environments distorted by a powerful being known as the Firstborn. Guided by ancient scriptures, the narrative delves into the Firstborn's origins, depicting it as a being created by God before the creation of Adam and Eve, only to be subsequently banished to the Abyss due to its immense power. The Firstborn's repeated attempts to escape its confinement have resulted in the formation of layers around the city of Al Khali, which contain fragments of different eras, from ancient Sumerian times to World War II. This city, once forgotten and buried, has become the focal point of the Jericho Squad's mission to prevent the Firstborn from breaking free and unleashing its wrath upon humanity
