What is ColonyCount?
The ColonyCount app is designed to assist researchers in counting bacterial colonies and measuring bacterial growth on agar plates. It provides a flexible and structured approach to analyze plate images by overlaying various measurement tools on the plate image. Users can create multiple layers, each dedicated to a specific type of measurement primitive, such as tags for counting, line segments for distance measurements, and spheres for radius measurements. This layered approach allows for comprehensive analysis of plate data, with the ability to store all images, layers, and results within a project structure that can contain multiple plates and images. While the app is currently in early beta, it offers a promising solution for researchers looking to streamline their bacterial colony counting and growth analysis workflows
