What is Damn Small Linux?

Damn Small Linux is a 50MB mini desktop-oriented Linux distribution that offers a versatile suite of capabilities. Initially developed as an experiment to explore the limits of desktop applications within a compact live CD, Damn Small Linux has since evolved into a robust community project. Through hundreds of development hours, the distribution has been refined to include a fully automated remote and local application installation system, as well as a versatile backup and restore system compatible with various writable media, such as hard drives, floppy drives, and USB devices
