What is Disk Explorer Professional?

This application is a comprehensive tool for cataloging a wide range of digital media and storage volumes, including CDs, DVDs, floppies, ZIP disks, removable media, hard drives, network drives, and even FTP servers on the Internet. It allows users to catalog the entire structure of these volumes, as well as the internal structure of various archive files, such as ZIP, 7-ZIP, RAR, ARJ, LZH, CAB, TAR/GZIP, ACE, JAR, and others, including self-extracting installers (EXE). The application can automatically include the contents of commonly used files, such as readme.txt and fileid.diz, into the catalog database, either entirely or in part. The application also features a range of powerful file processing capabilities, with 18 configurable filters that can extract specific metadata from different file types, including song/interpreter/album name from audio files (MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, WAV, VQF), size, bit-depth, format, and thumbnails from image files (JPG, GIF, TIF, PNG, BMP, PCX, CDR, etc.), properties of sound files, title, keywords, author, and statistics from office documents (MS Word, Excel), title from HTML documents, and copyright holder, name, and version from executables. Users can also add comments to any volume or folder within the catalog
