What is DNS66?

DNS66 is an Android application that enables users to block advertisements and enhance their online privacy by intercepting DNS requests through the device's VPN layer. Unlike proxy-based ad blockers or root-required solutions, DNS66 establishes a VPN interface that redirects DNS traffic, allowing it to filter out requests for blacklisted hosts. Users can configure a host list, specifying whether individual entries should be allowed, denied, or ignored, with later entries taking precedence over previous ones. The app also allows users to configure custom DNS servers, providing an additional layer of privacy and control over their internet connection
