What is Dragons & Gridirons?

Dragons & Gridirons (D&ampG) is a new type of augmented fantasy football platform that takes the traditional season-long format and adds a layer of real-time strategic gameplay through the use of spell cards. At its core, D&ampG follows the established rules of fantasy football - players form leagues, hold drafts, and set weekly lineups. However, the introduction of spell cards sets this platform apart, giving participants the ability to directly impact the scoring and outcomes of their matchups Each team in D&ampG is allocated a weekly allotment of magic points that can be used to play various spell cards. These cards offer a diverse range of effects, from boosting the performance of your players to negatively affecting your opponent's scores. Examples include increasing yardage and touchdown points, reducing points for targeted players, and even introducing chaotic elements like randomly swapping players between teams or eliminating a player from the game The spell cards are obtained through the accumulation of experience points, which are earned based on factors such as league standing, player accomplishments, and starting the best possible lineup. Importantly, no additional purchases are required to access or use the spell cards, making the platform accessible to all participants The real-time nature of the spell card activations adds an extra layer of strategy, as players must decide whether to use their magical abilities immediately or hold them in reserve to see how the game unfolds. This dynamic presents an engaging and novel experience that sets D&ampG apart from traditional fantasy football
