What is Enemy Territory: Legacy?
Enemy Territory: Legacy is an open-source project based on the code of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a free multiplayer first-person shooter set during World War II and focused on team play. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory was initially released in 2003 by Splash Damage and id Software, and after more than a decade, the game continues to be played by a dedicated community. Enemy Territory: Legacy, released in 2010 under the GPLv3 license, aims to fix bugs, remove old dependencies, and make the game playable on all major operating systems while maintaining compatibility with the ET 2.60b version and its mods. This project is a labor of love, with contributions from the community, including patches, suggestions, and comments. The team behind Enemy Territory: Legacy is grateful for the support and contributions from Splash Damage, raedwulf-et (especially Ralph Eastwood), Unvanquished, and ioQuake3 (especially /dev/humancontroller)
