What is Evince?

Evince is a comprehensive document viewer that supports a diverse range of file formats, including PDF, Postscript, DjVu, TIFF, DVI, XPS, and various comic book formats such as CBR, CBZ, CB7, and CBT. The application aims to consolidate the multiple document viewers found on the GNOME Desktop into a single, user-friendly application. Evince not only displays documents but also enables users to add and edit PDF annotations, such as comments. Additionally, the viewer remembers the zoom factor and position for each document, providing a seamless user experience
