What is FastCopy?

FastCopy is a copy, delete, and synchronization software for Windows that delivers exceptional performance and data integrity. It employs modern checksum verification to ensure the accuracy of copied data, and it adeptly handles long Unicode path names that exceed the standard MAXPATH limit. The software intelligently optimizes copy operations based on the storage devices involved, utilizing multithreaded parallel reading and writing for different storage devices, and a larger read buffer for the same storage device to minimize disk thrashing. By bypassing the operating system's cache, FastCopy ensures that other applications and processes remain responsive, with transfer speeds approaching the maximum capabilities of the storage hardware. This high-performance is achieved through the use of the Win32 API rather than MFC. FastCopy offers an Include/Exclude filter to customize large file operations, as well as a job manager to streamline multiple copy tasks. The software is designed to run only one operation at a time, thereby avoiding disk thrashing and maximizing transfer speeds. FastCopy is available as freeware
