What is Forest?

Forest is an app that helps users stay focused on their work by cultivating a virtual forest. When users want to concentrate, they can plant a seed in the app, and over the next 30 minutes, the seed will gradually grow into a tree. However, if users leave the app to check social media or play games, their tree will wither away. Users can build a forest filled with trees (or withered twigs) that represent the 30-minute focused work sessions they have completed. The app provides a self-motivated and engaging method to help users overcome phone addiction and develop better time management habits. Users can also share their forests with friends, track their progress, and customize a whitelist of apps that won't kill their trees if accessed
