What is Freedoom?

Freedoom is a continuously evolving free first-person shooter game based on the iconic Doom engine. Unlike a traditional engine replacement, Freedoom offers entirely original game content while maintaining compatibility with a vast array of Doom modifications created by the dedicated fan community over the years. The project aims to provide a complete free-to-play experience, presenting the game in three distinct flavors:

• Offers three distinct game modes: Phase 1 (analogous to Ultimate Doom), Phase 2 (similar to Doom 2), and FreeDM (a dedicated deathmatch experience)
