What is GeoServer?
The GeoServer is a comprehensive, open-source software server that enables users to manage, visualize, and publish spatial data over the web. Developed in Java, it serves as the reference implementation for the Open Geospatial Consortium's (OGC) standards, including Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS), and Web Coverage Service (WCS). GeoServer's interoperability allows it to integrate with a wide range of spatial data sources, empowering users to query, combine, and edit geospatial information using open standards. Additionally, the server offers extensibility through plugins, providing support for formats such as Web Processing Service (WPS) and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS), further expanding the platform's capabilities
