What is Getting Things GNOME?

Getting Things GNOME! (GTG) is a personal tasks and TODO-list items organizer for the GNOME desktop environment, inspired by the "Getting Things Done" (GTD) methodology. It offers a graphical user interface that can accommodate various workflows, allowing users to customize the interface to their preferences regardless of their familiarity with the GTD approach. The application provides a flexible tagging system, enabling users to batch-tag or untag tasks, create hierarchical or non-hierarchical tags, and assign custom colors and emblem icons to tags. Users can also configure the display of tasks based on their assigned tags. Additionally, GTG offers a robust search functionality, allowing users to create and save custom searches with similar customization options as the tagging system
