What is Gigolo?

Gigolo is a frontend application that enables users to effortlessly connect and manage remote file systems utilizing the GIO/GVfs framework. The tool facilitates the quick mounting of remote file systems and provides a platform to organize bookmarks for such connections. While Gigolo is part of the Xfce Goodies project and hosted on Xfce servers, it does not have strict dependencies on the Xfce desktop environment, and can be readily used in conjunction with other desktop environments. The sole requirement for Gigolo's operation is the presence of GTK2 (version 2.12 or newer) on the user's system
