What is gMKVExtractGUI?

This application provides a graphical user interface (GUI) that serves as a front-end for the mkvinfo and mkvextract command-line tools, both of which are part of the MKVToolnix suite. The GUI incorporates the majority, if not the entirety, of the functionality offered by these two CLI tools. Developed using C and the .NET 4.0 framework, the application is designed to achieve high compatibility with Windows operating systems, from Windows XP and newer versions. Additionally, the application can be executed on Linux systems through the use of the Mono runtime, version 1.6.4 or later. While the application's compatibility with macOS has not been formally tested, it is possible that it may also function on that platform
