What is Gnaural?

Gnaural is a programmable auditory binaural-beat generator that implements the principle described in the October 1973 Scientific American article "Auditory Beats in the Brain" by Gerald Oster. This open-source application allows users to create and customize binaural beats, which are an auditory illusion that occurs when two different pure tone frequencies are presented, one to each ear, resulting in the perception of a third tone.
