What is Hard Reset?

Hard Reset is a first-person shooter game that takes inspiration from classic video games like Quake and Unreal, delivering a more straightforward and old-school gameplay experience compared to modern FPS titles. The game's various stages feature secret areas with hidden health and ammunition pickups, as well as interactive environmental elements such as explosive barrels and electro-shock vending machines that can be used against enemies. However, unlike many traditional FPS games, Hard Reset features only two weapons - the CLN Modular Assault Rifle and the EEF-21 Plasma Rifle - with customizable firing modes and attachments like grenade and rocket launchers. The game's cyberpunk-inspired plot draws inspiration from the works of renowned science fiction authors, including William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and Philip K. Dick. Hard Reset was developed by Flying Wild Hog, a Polish studio with members who previously worked on games like Painkiller and titles from CD Projekt Red and City Interactive. An expanded re-release, called Hard Reset: Extended Edition, was later made available
