What is IBM OS/2?
OS/2 is a comprehensive series of computer operating systems that were initially created through a collaboration between Microsoft and IBM, led by IBM software designer Ed Iacobucci. The operating system evolved over time, with Microsoft and IBM jointly developing the early versions up to OS/2 2.xx. However, Microsoft later decided to focus on its Windows operating system, leaving IBM to continue the development of OS/2 Warp versions 3 and 4, with the final release being Warp 4.52. While OS/2 is no longer actively developed, its legacy lives on through successor operating systems such as eComStation and ArcaOS
