What is imapbox?

The app is designed to backup email data from an IMAP mailbox in a readable and indexable format. It creates a folder for each email, containing the message body in HTML format, a text version of the body, attached files, and metadata in JSON format. The app also provides a gzipped version of the original email in EML format. This allows users to archive their mailbox in a way that is both human-readable and searchable, without the need for external software. The app is capable of handling multiple mailboxes, deduplicating messages based on the Message-ID property, ensuring that copies of the same email are only backed up once
