What is jasymca?

Jasymca is a comprehensive system designed to assist users in solving a wide range of mathematical problems. It offers advanced functionalities that enable users to perform complex calculations and analyses with ease. The application supports arbitrary precision numbers and symbolic variables, allowing users to work with scalars, vectors, and matrices across a variety of data types. From symbolic matrix pseudoinverse operations to trigonometric simplifications and symbolic solutions for integrals and systems of equations, Jasymca provides the core functionality found in Computer Algebra System (CAS) programs. Additionally, the system integrates high-performance numerical routines from LAPACK and a robust plotting module, further enhancing its capabilities. Users can choose between an Octave/MATLAB/SciLab-like language interface or a GNU-Maxima style, ensuring a familiar and intuitive experience. Jasymca is available in three versions, catering to a wide range of platforms, including a Midlet version for portable devices, a Java application for desktop PCs, laptops, and workstations, as well as an applet that can be seamlessly integrated into web pages. Jasymca is distributed as free software under the GNU Public License, making it accessible to a broad user base
