What is JChemPaint?
JChemPaint is a versatile 2D editor and viewer for chemical structures that caters to diverse operating systems and deployment scenarios. As free and open-source software written in Java, it offers cross-platform compatibility for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Unix environments. The application provides users with a standalone editor, as well as two distinct applet variants - an editor and a viewer - which can be seamlessly integrated into web pages. JChemPaint is currently being developed as an integral component of The Chemistry Development Kit, and a Standard Widget Toolkit-based JChemPaint application is also under active development as part of the Bioclipse project
