What is Konversation?

Konversation is an IRC client that provides efficient access to the Freenode network's channels, where users can find support for a wide range of Linux distributions. This application offers standard IRC features, including SSL server support, bookmarking, an intuitive graphical user interface, the ability to manage multiple servers and channels in a single window, DCC file transfer, support for multiple identities across different servers, text decorations and colors, on-screen display for notifications, automatic UTF-8 detection, per-channel encoding support, theme support for nick icons, and a highly configurable interface.
