What is Kopete?

Kopete is a robust multi-protocol instant messaging application that supports a wide range of popular chat services, including AIM, ICQ, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, and Novell GroupWise Messenger. Designed to be a flexible and extensible system, Kopete aims to provide users with a unified and user-friendly way to access their various instant messaging accounts. The interface is centered around people, integrating seamlessly with the system address book to allow users to easily access their contacts across different KDE applications
