What is Krut?

Krut is a cross-platform tool designed for creating video tutorials and screencast recordings. The application, written in Java, captures selected areas of the user's screen along with accompanying audio, producing files in the Quicktime MOV format. Krut's interface is compact and intuitive, enabling users to efficiently record their screens. Beyond the primary movie file, the tool also generates separate audio (WAV) and video (MOV) files, providing flexibility for subsequent encoding and editing using external programs
