What is LameXP?

LameXP is a versatile audio encoding front-end that supports a vast array of input formats. It utilizes MediaInfo to reliably detect file formats and employs suitable CLI audio decoders to decompress audio files into uncompressed Wave format. The application enables batch processing of multiple audio files and implements multi-threading to concurrently process several files. All the third-party tools integrated into LameXP are transparently listed in the "About" dialog. While the Nero AAC encoder cannot be redistributed due to licensing constraints, it is available as a free download from the Nero website. It's important to note that LameXP does not require or support any external audio decoders, ACM Codecs, or DirectShow/DMO filters, and it will not install any such components on the user's system
