What is LibraryWorld?

LibraryWorld is a web-based library management system that allows users to create their own library site and build their collection with applications designed to help manage and grow that collection. The system aims to reduce the complexity and high costs often associated with automating a library. LibraryWorld is a cloud-based solution that enables users to catalog their collection, manage circulation, patrons, inventory, and more. An online patron access catalog (OPAC) allows patrons to search the collection, and native iPhone and iPad apps provide access from anywhere

• Catalog management: Users can create and update library catalogs and records, entering them manually, importing in standard MARC format, or pulling directly from online resources like the Library of Congress using the built-in Z39.50 connection
• Collection management: Users can add one or multiple copies to catalog records and attach PDF or JPEG files to build a digital library
• Circulation management: The circulation module includes barcode scanning and support for self-service kiosks to streamline the check-out, check-in, renewal, holding, and reservation of items for patrons
