What is Lokalize?

Lokalize is a comprehensive localization tool designed to streamline the translation process for KDE software and other free and open-source projects. It functions as a powerful computer-aided translation (CAT) system, enabling users to efficiently translate OpenDocument files (*.odt) and other formats. Leveraging the Translate-Toolkit, Lokalize seamlessly extracts text from .odt files, converts it to the .xliff format for translation, and then merges the translated content back into the original .odt files. This robust functionality ensures a seamless workflow, allowing translators to focus on delivering high-quality localized content while benefiting from the tool's robust quality assurance features and productivity-enhancing capabilities
