What is LuxCoreRender?
LuxCoreRender is a physically based and unbiased rendering engine that leverages state-of-the-art algorithms to simulate the flow of light according to physical equations, producing realistic images of photographic quality. The program is licensed under the Apache Public License v2.0, making it free for both personal and commercial use. LuxCoreRender is actively developed by a team of passionate programmers and computer graphics enthusiasts who aim to share their work with the community. The software runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, and offers a new C++/Python API called LuxCore, which provides advanced features for dynamic scene editing and interactive rendering. This represents a significant improvement over the limitations of the previous C API. In 2017, the project underwent a fresh restart, with the development team focusing the LuxCoreRender v2.0 release on the LuxCore API-based rendering package, while dropping any legacy code related to the earlier LuxRender v1.x
