What is MHRD?

In MHRD, players design and develop a fully functional central processing unit (CPU) through a series of increasingly complex hardware circuit challenges. Set in the 1980s, the game follows the player's journey as part of the startup company Microhard, where the objective is to create a more efficient CPU design to disrupt the computer hardware industry. Players are tasked with designing and implementing over 20 distinct hardware circuits, which are then simulated and verified to ensure they function correctly. While the game is presented as a puzzle-driven experience, the hardware designs created by players could potentially be implemented in real-world physical hardware or executed on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
