What is MSConfig?

The Microsoft System Configuration Utility, commonly known as MSConfig, is a versatile tool included in the Microsoft Windows operating system that enables users to troubleshoot and optimize the Windows startup process. This utility allows users to modify the programs and services that run at system startup, edit critical configuration files, and simplify the management of various Windows services. Despite its powerful functionality, MSConfig has not typically been directly accessible through the Start Menu or Control Panel, but can be easily launched by entering 'msconfig' in the Run dialog for any administrator-level user
