What is Multithreaded Download Manager?

This experimental Firefox 57 download manager supports multithreading, enabling the download of files using multiple connections to the server. Depending on the network conditions, this feature may increase the download speed. The download panel can be accessed by clicking the toolbar button, with the option to open it in a new tab or window. Users can create download tasks by clicking the buttons at the bottom of the panel or through the context menu of links on websites. The download monitoring feature can be enabled in the options, automatically triggering the download dialog for files larger than a configured size, with the ability to switch to Firefox's built-in download feature
