    What is NirCmd?

    NirCmd is a small utility that allows you to perform a variety of useful tasks from the command-line without displaying a user interface. This tool can change display settings, turn off a monitor, open and close CD-ROM drives, manipulate system volume, control power management, and more across all 32-bit Windows operating systems, including Windows 9x/ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista. While some commands are limited to newer Windows versions like XP, Vista, and beyond, NirCmd provides a flexible way to automate common desktop management tasks from the command prompt
