What is Office Online?

Office on the web enables users to access, create, and edit various document types for free using lightweight, browser-based versions of Microsoft's renowned productivity applications. This online suite includes web-based editions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Sway, as well as the Outlook.com email service, People contacts, Calendar, and Microsoft OneDrive file storage, all accessible through a unified app switcher.
