What is OpenHashTab?
OpenHashTab is a shell extension that enables users to conveniently calculate and verify file hashes directly from the Windows file properties. It supports 22 different hash algorithms, including popular options like MD5, SHA-1, and SHA-256, as well as newer algorithms like BLAKE3 and ParallelHash. The tool offers high-performance hash calculations and a native Windows look and feel, with support for high-DPI screens and long file paths. It also allows users to check hashes against VirusTotal with a single click, and export hash values to files or the clipboard in various formats such as .sum, .hash, and SFV. OpenHashTab can be accessed through the context menu for faster usage, and it supports file associations and standalone mode. The application requires Windows Vista or later, and at least 1 GB of RAM for efficient hashing of large file sets
