What is Pathway Commons?

The Pathway Commons database consolidates publicly available biological pathway and interaction data from multiple sources, enabling biologists and software developers to access comprehensive information on various biological processes. This centralized repository represents the data using the BioPAX standard, providing a detailed and consistent representation of biochemical reactions, gene regulatory networks, genetic interactions, transport and catalysis events, and physical interactions involving proteins, DNA, RNA, small molecules, and complexes

Highlights

  • Integrated collection of pathway data from partner databases, represented in the standardized BioPAX format
  • Web-based interface for browsing and searching the comprehensive pathway data
  • Download site offering bulk sets of pathway information in standard or customized formats
  • Web service API for programmatic access and querying of the entire dataset
