What is Phasex?
PHASEX is a software synthesizer designed for Linux-based audio environments that utilize ALSA and JACK protocols. Its unique approach to sound generation involves phase offset modulation, where each oscillator can have its phase offset between the right and left audio channels modulated by a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) or another oscillator within the system. This experimental methodology sets PHASEX apart from traditional synthesis techniques, offering users a novel way to create dynamic, evolving sonic textures
