What is Pithos?

Pithos is a desktop application designed to provide a comprehensive Pandora listening experience for users of the GNOME desktop environment. Leveraging the libpiano backend used by the command-line Pianobar client, Pithos aims to deliver a more integrated and user-friendly Pandora experience compared to the official Flash-based client or the terminal-based Pianobar. Unlike the official client, which is known to be resource-intensive, Pithos is optimized to minimize CPU usage while still delivering the full functionality of the Pandora service.
