What is Privacy Badger?
The Electronic Frontier Foundation's Privacy Badger is a browser extension that automatically learns to block invisible trackers that disregard Do Not Track signals. The tool analyzes websites and keeps track of third-party domains that embed content like images, scripts, and advertising. If a third-party server appears to be tracking users without permission by using unique identifying cookies to collect a record of the pages visited across multiple sites, Privacy Badger will automatically disallow content from that third-party tracker. In some cases, a third-party domain provides an important aspect of a page's functionality, such as embedded maps, images, or fonts. In those cases, Privacy Badger will allow connections to the third party but will block its tracking cookies
