What is ReactOS?

ReactOS is an open-source operating system designed to provide compatibility with applications and drivers written for the Microsoft Windows NT family of operating systems, including Windows NT 4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, and Seven. While the current focus of the ReactOS project is on achieving compatibility with Windows Server 2003, the developers are also keeping an eye toward compatibility with Windows Vista and future Windows NT releases. The code of ReactOS is licensed under the GNU GPL 2.0, allowing for free and open-source development. It is important to note that ReactOS is currently in an alpha quality stage, which means that it is under active development, and users may encounter issues or data corruption. Therefore, it is recommended to test ReactOS on a virtual machine or a computer without sensitive or critical data
