What is Readup?

Readup is a social reading platform that offers a distraction-free and community-driven experience for discovering, reading, and discussing high-quality articles and stories. The platform works through a mobile app or web extension, allowing users to save articles from anywhere on the web and read them anytime on Readup. Readup tracks users' reading progress, enabling them to continue where they left off. By anonymously combining data of all verified completed reads, the platform can transparently recommend the most-read and most-discussed articles to its community. Every day, an Article of the Day (AOTD) is nominated, and Readup has no filter bubbles, ensuring that everyone sees the same article recommendations While article discovery is free, reading inside the Readup platform requires a subscription (pay-what-you-want, but at least $5). Readup shares 90 of its revenue with the writers of the articles read by the community. Users can follow other interesting readers and discuss articles together, knowing that all commenters must have read the article before they can comment, which helps to ward off toxicity Readup also offers a Twitter integration, allowing users to share what they've read and start discussions
