What is Redox?

Redox is a Unix-like microkernel operating system written in the programming language Rust, a language designed with a focus on safety and high performance. Inspired by prior kernels and operating systems such as SeL4, MINIX, Plan 9, and BSD, Redox aims to be secure, usable, and free. It is similar to the GNU or BSD ecosystem, but utilizes a memory-safe language and modern technology. Redox is free and open-source software distributed under an MIT License Redox also offers a full-service integration platform to securely and efficiently exchange healthcare data. This platform accelerates the development and distribution of healthcare software solutions, enabling healthcare delivery organizations and technology vendors to connect once and authorize the data they send and receive across an extensive interoperable network. The goal of Redox is to make healthcare data useful and improve patient experiences
